The National Police reported that authorities arrested “Light Mary” after months of intelligence work

BOGOTA, April 12. – The National Police of Colombia today reported the capture of FARC guerrilla, Sandra Yaneth Hernandez, who monitored several of the soldiers who were kidnapped by the insurgent group.

In a statement, the institution reported that authorities detained alias “Mary Light” in a neighborhood in the southern city of Neiva, after months of intelligence work and tracking in the region.

According to the source, captured in 2011 transmitted the order to kill four hostages when the army approached the place where camping out in their attempt to locate and rescue them.

Noting the official presence of the troops, units of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) fired at the hostages then Yesid Duarte, Elkín Hernandez, Alvaro Martinez Moreno and Libyan.

The captured was the girlfriend of the head of Front 63 of the organization, Javier Yanguma, and was responsible for the tests of life of the hostages, as well as to supply the commission that the guarding.
